Getting started
Set up a wallet, receive your first TRAI and follow the payment until it is final. Takes about five minutes.
Any wallet that supports Tenrai will do. The steps below use the two wallets of the Tenrai project: the Tenrai Wallet for computers and phones, and tenrai-wallet for the command line. Both use the same 24 words, so you can switch between them at any time.
1. Create a wallet
Create a wallet, write the 24 words on paper in order, and choose a password for this device. Create or restore a wallet has the steps for both wallets.
2. Find your address
Tenrai Wallet
Receive shows your address with a QR code and its six verification words.
Command line
tenrai-wallet receive --qr prints your address with its payment link, its six verification words and a QR code.
Share the address with whoever sends you TRAI. The verification words let both sides check that it arrived unchanged.
3. Receive TRAI
TRAI comes from another wallet, an exchange or mining. An incoming payment first shows as pending and counts toward your balance once a cut finalizes it, usually within a few seconds.
4. Look it up
A block explorer, such as the Tenrai Explorer, shows every finalized cut, work block, transaction and address. Search for your address or a transaction ID.
